Todd Galberth has emerged on the Gospel music scene as an exuberant praise and worship leader, expert songwriter, and enthralling actor. From humble beginnings, he is acutely aware of his responsibilities to use his talents and gifts to minister. He was born in 1981 to parents who were active in ministry. His parents’ kingdom-minded mentality resounded so loudly within Todd that he too became active in ministry at the young age of sixteen. He directed choirs, taught songs, and led praise and worship, all while mounted on the drums.
In pursuit of his passion, Todd began pursuing his acting career. His ability to portray perplexed, troubled, dramatic and comedic roles became evident to playwrights across the country, enlisting him in supporting roles in such plays as “Don’t Let the Green Grass Fool You,” “A Woman’s Gotta Do What a Woman’s Gotta Do!,” “If Loving You is Wrong ” and “Private Chambers.” This experience helped to expose him to great actors that helped him hone his craft. His acting credits include working alongside Carl Payne, Freddie Jackson, and Anne Nesby to name a few.
It was in “Private Chambers” that Todd received his most challenging role yet, Assistant Director of the play and Writer for the soundtrack. Todd took to this task like a bee to honey–naturally. “It was my most difficult role, because it was my first recording. All I wanted to do was make sure that God was magnified through the project.” His desire became a reality. Doors began to fly open in the music industry as a result of his work.
Todd has been blessed to open up for Gospel greats such as Mary Mary, Men of Standard, LeJuene Thompson, Melvin Williams, Myron Butler, Timothy Wright, Kim Burrell, Earnest Pugh, Blanche McAllister, and many more. He has also had the privilege of leading praise and worship at several national conferences such as Ephesians 4, Judah Fest, NACGC Music Workshop, and many more. He is also an accomplished songwriter, having written for acclaimed artists, including James Fortune.
Todd currently serves as a Praise and Worship leader at World Overcomers Christian Church in Durham, North Carolina. He has submitted his gifts and talents to the leadership of the Holy Spirit and allows Him to use him in such a way that lives are changed when he ministers. A worship clinician, he also conducts workshops to share with other worship leaders the fundamentals of worship and has witnessed the power of God reignite the flame of worship within the body of Christ.
His latest single, “The Curse is Broken,” is sure to impact the Kingdom. God’s agenda shall be fulfilled in the Earth and this song will evoke a spiritual revolution. Todd yearns to please God in every facet of his life. His ministry is solely geared to bringing people into an experience with God. Music without the experience is entertainment. “God is looking for a worshiper, not a song. A worshiper does not need a song, but a song always needs a worshiper”.
